Glow Worms??
It looked like rain today, so we did what everyone else does on vacation, we headed to the glow worm cave. We went on two tours of some very cool caves. The Waitomo Caves are huge, winding caves with stalactites and stalagmites, and very unique glowing worms. Well, on the tour, you find out that they are not really worms, but larvae (maggots), ad the glowing comes from their "poop" . But they know that no one would come to see maggots, so.... Nevertheless, it was a very interesting tour.
The New Zealand countryside is great in the summer. Green, with lots of trees and flowers in bloom.
Tonight we are in the resort town of Lake Taupo.
Last night we stayed at a roadside in, tonight we are staying at a new Hilton (used some of those points). What a difference.
